Commercially Licensed Graphics + AI

My Sparkling Emporium carries a variety of physical and digital products. Currently (2024/2025) there is a mix of hand drawn, commercially licensed art and AI generated images. 

Commercial Artwork:

Sometimes, I fall in love with a particular art style or trend. Sometimes I don't have the time, or skill to draw what I want to create for a specific product. Commercially licensing graphics allows me to fairly compensate the original artist, while being able to use the graphics I love for my end product. 

AI:

Some of the AI artwork was generated using my own photographs, commercially licensed photographs, my own drawings- conversion to a watercolour, or different colour palette- or with my own prompts. Regardless, knowing that AI scrapes other artists techniques to learn, without any compensation, didn't hit well with my moral compass. 

Based on what I have learned, AI has many negative effects on the environment, and the art community. I stopped generating AI images in 2024, and once the products I have in stock are finished, I am committed to not producing any other items with AI art.
